Book Description: ABOUT THE BOOK: It is no secret that the healthcare system in America is in many ways flawed. What we spend seems to have little to do with the outcome. Through his reflective and sometimes humorous stories, author Kenny Jackson, RN, imparts the life lessons and spiritual insight he has gained from a long-time career in healthcare and nursing. This very personal account from a healthcare "insider" stirs the emotions and challenges readers to Buck Up and hold all aspects of the healthcare system accountable while, at the same time, offers a gentle reminder that sometimes we have to simply Take It-take what life gives us and learn to find in it those things that bring us pleasure and reward. ---- ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Kenny Jackson grew up working in his father's pharmacy. As a nurse, he worked extensively in Intravenous Therapy and helped to run a medical company. He taught an adult Bible study class for a number of years. Kenny has been married to Cathy (also a nurse) for 25 years. They live in a small community in Owensville, Indiana, in a modest home built around the early 1900s. His hobbies have included stained glass, gardening, sports cars (especially mid-engine) and jelly making.
