English: Fourth Year, 1992-93: Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4 - A Report by H.M.Inspectorate (Implementation of the Curricular Requirements of the Education Reform Act)
Author:
Great Britain: Office for Standards in Education
Book Description: This document reports on the implementation of curricular requirements for English. The inspectors found that standards in Key Stages 1 and 2 have been maintained but they were relatively less good in Key Stage 2 than in Key Stage 1. In Key Stages 3 and 4 standards of work were generally satisfactory. Although much progress has been made over the past three years, the report lists a number of issues to be addressed by schools if that progress is to be sustained. These include the need to improve the work in Key Stage 2 and the need to promote the language development of less able pupils.
