This book is a co-publication with ALBSU giving practical guidance to all teachers and tutors on how to identify the language level and needs of their students and on how to tailor their teaching (including selection of material, form of presentation and construction of activities) towards meeting these needs and developing students' language skills. A large proportion of the material is photo-copiable. The four main sections of the book cover the key teaching activities - from selection and presentation of material (including the teacher's own) to encouragement of appropriate repsonse from students. The material includes many suggested activities and over 40 photo-copiable task sheets for teachers and students to consoldiate points made in the text, and a selection of "checklists".
