We may be lucky enough to know one of those exceptional people whose faith seems to move mountains. But for most of us our own personal encounter with God is in the ordinary, everyday experiences of life, often apparent only with hindsight, rarely startlingly clear. This book consists of stories and shorter reflective pieces about ordinary people and everyday living, each offering different insights into biblical and theological truth. As the people in the stories encounter God in their own small ways, few of us will fail to recognise something of our own experience in the characters and situations. The author's hope is that Coming to Life will help us, amongst other things, to become more vividly aware of the constant touch of God' hand on and presence in our own lives.
