Principles of Quantum Mechanics

Book Description: The Principles of Quantum Mechanics 2nd Edition (ISBN 0306447908/ 9780306447907) by Shankar introduces Dirac notation and the mathematical underpinnings of QM before getting into the theory and applications. Shankar's final paragraph speaks directly to what anyone can call undue mystification in Quantum Mechanics. His treatment of this complex philosophical issue is considered to be excellent. After clearly presenting the process and result of measurement, he notes that a system has a well-defined state vector before and after measurement, although the results of our measurements are all we know. The Principles of Quantum Mechanics is a great book for engineering students who want to learn quantum mechanics.
