A Quick Company Background

ValoreBooks was founded in 2002 and serves as a marketplace for students to buy, rent, and sell college textbooks. Valore is the brainchild of CEO Bobby Brannigan who began the business as a college student from his dorm room in upstate New York. Brannigan was motivated by the idea of connecting his own stacks of no-longer-needed textbooks with students who could use the books in their own classes and whom he felt were paying too much at the campus bookstore. Being firmly grounded in the college experience, Valore pays special attention to connecting with students via technology and social media.

Need-to-Know Info in a Nutshell

• Rental Durations: 125 days (semester), 90 days (quarter), 60 days, custom (60 days - two semesters)
• You may extend your rental by logging in to your account on the ValoreBooks website. You can also convert your rental to a purchase.
• Valore provides prepaid returns, simply print your label from their website.
• Please limit highlighting and writing in books.
• You will be charged for a replacement copy if the book is not returned or returned in unacceptable condition. Replacement cost is calculated as the list price of the book.
