Pages with mild to moderate toning throughout and occasional foxing; otherwise clean and unmarked. Dust jacket with black ground on front and spine; pictorial front panel with color photograph of Erte with a Siamese cat; cream rear panel with publisher's device; 1-inch square chip to paper at top of spine; several smaller nicks, tears, and creasing along edges; moderate shelf wear, soiling, and toning; price clipped. Now in an archival quality (removable) Brodart cover. Erte's autobiography, in which the celebrated Russian-born Art Deco designer (born Romain de Tirtoff in St. Petersburg, 1892) recalls a life and career spanning more than sixty years, from his childhood in Russia and early Paris years to his long collaboration with Harper's Bazaar, his work designing for theater, opera, and film, and his remarkable creative renaissance in the 1960s and 1970s.
